Have you introduced innovative, exemplary projects to reduce energy consumption into your business thereby lowering your energy costs? This should be rewarded: with our Energy Efficiency Award. Until 4th May 2012 you can submit a reference project which is characterized by innovative energy efficiency and cost savings. The first prize is EUR 15,000, the second EUR 10,000 and the third EUR 5,000. Entries from small and medium-sized businesses are particularly welcome.

The winners will be awarded their prizes at the dena Congress, which is to take place on 18th/19th September 2012 during the dena Congress in Berlin.
Within the framework of the Initiative EnergieEffizienz, die Deutsche Energie-Agentur (dena) – the German Energy-Agency has been honoring achievements in energy efficiency with the international Energy Efficiency Award since 2006. The Initiative EnergieEffizienz is supported by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. Its Premium Partners are the companies DZ BANK AG, Imtech Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG and Siemens AG. Patron of the award is Dr Philipp Rösler, Federal Minister of Economics and Technology.

Rewarding businesses from industry and production

The Deutsche Energie-Agentur GmbH (dena) - the German Energy Agency - has today given the Energy Efficiency Award to three companies in recognition of their exemplary efforts to increase energy efficiency. The first prize was shared by SCA Hygiene Products for the savings it has made in various cross-sector technologies and Heideblume Molkerei Elsdorf-Rotenburg AG for its successful implementation of energy contracting. The second prize went to Südbayerisches Portland-Zementwerk for its efficient use of waste heat in its manufacturing operations. The prizes were awarded during the dena Energy Efficiency Congress in Berlin. This competition, with its total prize money of €35,000, was organised by dena as part of its Initiative EnergieEffizienz with support from its Premium Partners DZ BANK AG, Imtech Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG and Siemens AG.
